Application Information
Year 1
The year comprises modules in law, economics, financial mathematics and valuation, development process, building technology, information technology and communications.

Year 2
The basic principles introduced in Year 1 are developed by the modules offered in Year 2 and are more applied in relation to Property Investment and Development. Modules include: property and planning law, valuation of urban property, property economics, real estate appraisal, finance, property market analysis, entrepreneurship, economic development and building performance.

Year 3
All students (unless exempted due to prior experience) are required to undertake a period (normally 12 months) of supervised work experience in an approved professional environment. This period may contribute towards the requirements of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessment of Professional Competence, and also to the award of the Diploma in Industrial Studies (DIS).

Year 4
The final year of academic study is designed to integrate the knowledge and skills acquired from the first three years of the course. A key requirement within the final year is the dissertation, which is designed to allow you to pursue an area of research on a chosen topic. Other core modules include: urban development and finance, investment valuations, property management, applied valuations and applied property data analysis.
